FULLTIME LECTURE SERIES
the goal of this lecture series is to feature the DIY independent spirit of hammering your own way in the world, on your own skill and steam (and it most definitely is) - well hell then, let's start at the top...
Our very first speaker was AARON DRAPLIN - yep, you heard correctly, we got Aaron Draplin from Draplin Design Co to come to Pittsburgh for a full day and just lay it all out for all of us. On Friday March 3rd 2017 there were 2 opportunities to engage with this man full force.
- There was a 3 hour Workshop for 24 lucky people - at CommonWealth Press from 1pm - 4pm
- Next we hosted a full on Lecture at the Hollywood Theater in Dormont that evening from 7:30pm - 9pm.
the Lecture opened doors at 6:30 we all hung out - grabbed some DDC merch, talked w/ the man himself, enjoyed a few drinks thanks to Hitchhiker Brewing, and chatted w/ other like minded folks before he took the stage.
It was an amazing night and a hell of a way to start this whole thing off. Thanks to all of you that came out, supported this event, and independent artists getting it done.
